Editorial Policy

Website: https://digitalmedicine.vn | Last updated: 14 October 2026

Digital Medicine Vietnam (DMVN) publishes evidence-informed analysis, practical resources and professional perspectives on responsible healthcare AI, patient safety and healthcare implementation. This policy explains the standards that guide our editorial work, including how we use evidence, manage conflicts of interest and correct published material.

DMVN is a professional initiative developed and operated by VietnamWellcare Company Limited (VietnamWellcare). Our aim is to support informed decisions and responsible implementation in real healthcare settings, with particular attention to Viet Nam.

1. Editorial purpose and scope

Our content may include evidence briefs, policy and regulatory analyses, commentary, practical guidance, interviews, case discussions, implementation tools and descriptions of the DMVN SGIMS Framework (Select → Govern → Implement → Monitor → Scale). Different content types serve different purposes and should not be understood as offering the same level of evidence or review.

Published material is intended for professional education and general information. It is not individualized medical advice, legal advice, regulatory approval, an accreditation decision or a formal conformity assessment. Healthcare, legal and technology decisions remain the responsibility of the relevant qualified professionals and organizations.

2. Evidence standards and interpretation

We prioritize primary legal and regulatory sources, official guidance, peer-reviewed research and credible professional or technical publications. When evidence is limited, emerging, contested or dependent on local context, we aim to say so. We distinguish established requirements from draft rules, voluntary standards, recommendations, individual expert perspectives and DMVN’s own proposals.

An evidence brief or commentary is not necessarily a systematic review. We avoid presenting preliminary findings, vendor claims or isolated studies as definitive proof of clinical benefit, safety, regulatory compliance or suitability for a particular healthcare setting. Where practical, articles identify their key sources and the dates on which relevant rules or evidence were reviewed.

3. Authorship, review and use of AI tools

Authorship and editorial review are assigned according to the subject matter and the resources available. A DMVN editorial review is not the same as independent academic peer review, and we do not describe content as peer-reviewed unless it has undergone that process. Contributors are responsible for fair attribution and for identifying material limitations, uncertainties and relevant interests.

Digital tools, including generative AI, may assist with research organization, drafting, translation, editing or illustration. Such assistance does not replace human editorial judgment or verification of material factual, clinical and legal claims. We do not treat AI-generated citations as reliable without checking the underlying sources. Where synthetic or materially altered media could reasonably be mistaken for authentic people or events, we aim to disclose that use clearly and follow applicable transparency requirements.

4. Editorial independence and conflicts of interest

DMVN may engage with hospitals, researchers, universities, technology developers, professional organizations and commercial partners. A relationship, meeting, pilot or sponsorship does not give a partner control over our professional conclusions or establish that a product is safe, effective, approved or endorsed.

We aim to identify material funding, sponsorship, authorship interests and relevant business relationships when they could reasonably affect a reader’s interpretation. Paid promotional content, if published, will be distinguishable from independent editorial analysis. We do not offer favorable editorial conclusions in exchange for payment.

5. Frameworks, product discussion and external affiliations

The DMVN SGIMS Framework is an evolving implementation approach developed by DMVN. It is not presented as a government standard, a regulatory approval pathway, an internationally accredited certification scheme or evidence that a particular AI product complies with law. Any assessment, pilot or advisory activity must be understood in its stated scope and context.

Mentioning a product, company, regulation, accreditation program, professional society or international organization does not imply its endorsement of DMVN. A contributor’s personal titles, memberships or institutional affiliations do not constitute institutional authorization or endorsement unless expressly confirmed.

6. Ethics, privacy and patient safety

We seek to protect patient privacy, professional confidentiality and research integrity. Case examples should be suitably de-identified or used with the necessary permissions and safeguards. We do not encourage contributors to send patient-identifiable information through public website channels. Clinical claims are framed with appropriate attention to intended use, local validation, human oversight, real-world monitoring and potential harms.

7. Corrections and updates

Healthcare evidence, technology and Vietnamese regulation can change quickly. We may update, clarify, correct or withdraw material when important new evidence emerges or an error is identified. Where practical, substantive revisions will be reflected in a review or update date or an editorial note; minor formatting changes may not be separately recorded. We welcome well-supported corrections, including from people or organizations discussed in our publications.

8. Questions or correction requests

Please send editorial inquiries, corrections or concerns to info@digitalmedicine.vn. Include the page link, the specific passage at issue and any reliable supporting material so that we can assess the request fairly.
